DAY 1 SUNDAY MAY 13 (D) Individual arrivals in Berlin. Our tour guides, Bernd Vollmer and Dale Brown will meet the group at the Hotel Ibis Ostbahnhof in downtown Berlin at 12:00pm to start the city tour and railroad points of interest including some train stations. For those tour members that will be arriving at Tegel Airport (TXL) in the morning you have the option of coming on into downtown Berlin to meet the group at the Hotel Ibis or if you like we will have one of our guides meet you at the Tegel Airport , but the time will now need to be 10:30am to transfer you to the Hotel Ibis. Anyone arriving any later in the day will need to join up with the tour group later after the city tours has started. We will met and escort those folks to join up with the tour gorup. Mid afternoon our group will board our own private charter boat for a cruise on the Berlin canal system taking a route where we can see the many passenger trains running near-by. This will be a dinner cruise. We now need to be at the Berlin Hbf (tief) train station no later then 5:00pm to catch train IC 143 which departs for Poland at 5:26pm. We arrive in Szczecin Glowny, Poland at 7:38pm and hotel check-in.




DAY 2 MONDAY MAY 14: (B-L-D) In the morning we have a bus transfer to nearby Gryfice to visit the 750mm narrow gauge railroad museum and then board our charter train pulled by a PX 48 class 0-8-0 for a run to Pogarzelica and return with a stop at Niechorze on the Baltic Sea to visit the oldest lighthouse in Poland. We then travel to Pila on our charter motorcoach for hotel check-in.



DAY 3 TUESDAY MAY 15: (B-L-D) Morning visit to the steam workshops at Pila. Then by charter motorcoach transfer to Znin to board our charter train pulled by a PX 38 class 0-8-0 on 600mm gauge for a run to Gasawa. In the afternoon we will stop at Wenecja to visit the narrow gauge railroad museum then on to Gniezno for lodging.

DAY 4 WEDNESDAY MAY 16: (B-L-D) Morning visit to the PKP steam workshops. Afternoon charter train pulled by a PX 36 class steam locomotive Gniezno to Leszno and return. Motorcoach transfer to Zielona Gora for lodging.

DAY 5 THURSDAY MAY 17: (B-L-D) We have a full day of steam charters out of Wolsztyn. We are planning one charter running to Zbaszyn and one to Steszew with steam and some railcar action too. Return to Zielona Gora for lodging.



DAY 6 FRIDAY MAY 18: (B-L) Another big day with a steam charter from Stare Bojanowo to Smigiel and on to Wielichowo and return. We then return to Leszno by charter motorcoach to catch a regular train departing Leszno at 4:30pm and arriving in Krakow at 10:17pm. Hotel check-in.

DAY 7 SATURDAY MAY 19: (B-D) Morning hours to relax and explore Krakow. We will offer a Krakow city tour. Early afternoon we depart from the hotel in Krakow by charter motorcoach for Dobra where we board a charter train pulled by a OKz32 for the run to Chabowka. Upon arrival in Chabowka we will have a barbeque dinner at the workshops and then a night photo session with three steam locomotives fired up. We then return by motorcoach to Krakow for lodging.





DAY 8 SUNDAY MAY 20: (B-D) We return to Chabowka departing Krakow at 7:31am on a regular train for the 62 mile ride to Chabowka arriving at 10:07am. We then board our charter train pulled by class Ty2 No. 953 with a passenger train consist for the run to Nowy Sacz and return, a total distance of 98 miles with plenty of photo run-bys. Our charter will depart at 10:45am and arrive back at 7:00pm. We then return to Krakow to our hotel on our charter motorcoach.





DAY 9 MONDAY MAY 21: (B-L) You have the option today to relax at the hotel in Krakow and explore the city and do some shopping or return on our charter motorcoach to Chabowka to spend some extra time in the workshops. There will be some steam fired up and in operation in the shops and yards. We then return to Krakow mid afternoon to catch the regular train departing at 3:45pm and arriving in Wroclaw at 8:03pm. Hotel check-in.



DAY 10 TUESDAY MAY 22: (B-L-D) We depart Wroclaw on the regular train at 7:54am and arrive in Gorlitz, Germany at 10:30am. We then transfer by charter motorcoach north along the German/Polish border to the border town of Bad Muskau. Here is the location of the Muskau Forest Railway. We have a charter train that will depart around noon from Muskau and take us into the forest on the German/Polish border with photo run-bys. We will stop in the forest for a picnic lunch. Once we return to Bad Muskau we then transfer a few miles to the village of Weisswasser and catch a local German train departing at 6:29pm and arriving at Cottbus at 7:08pm. We then connect with another train departing Cottbus at 7:14pm and arriving Berlin Ostbahnhof station at 8:43pm and check in at the Ibis Hotel Obtbahnhof.









DAY 11 WEDNESDAY MAY 23: (B) Independant departures from the Ibis Hotel Obtbhnhof and end of tour.
