WEDNESDAY JUNE 4: Independent arrivals in Berlin, Germany. Independent transfers and check-in at the 4 star first class Hotel Mondial in the center of the city located on the famous Kurfurstendamm. This hotel has a full service restaurant that is open until 11pm each night.

THURSDAY JUNE 5: (B-L-D) We depart from Berlin's Zoologischer Garten station
on one of the regional Express trains for Cottbus. Here we visit the was DB
main diesel-locomotive workshops where you can see the Russian class 232.
After our workshop visit we will board our charter steam train pulled by a
class 03 4-6-2 Pacific for the run to Weibwasser via Hoyerswerda. In
Weibwasser we will visit the Muskauer Waldbahan which is now a preserved
railway. This former industrial railroad was built on 600mm gauge. In
order to get our group to the museum we have been given permission to run a
charter steam train over a unused section of line which will be torn up soon
because it is passing through a active mining area. So this is some rare
milage for our clients. After our visit to this narrown gauge line we return
to Weisswasser where we board a regular train for the journey to Zittau.

FRIDAY JUNE 6: (B-D) Visit the little narrow gauge system in Zittau including the running shed and control tower before boarding our private charter steam train. Later in the day we travel by bus to Sebnitz where we board another charter train for Bad Schandau. We will also use our bus to spend some time trackside to take photos of the steam trains. Overnight in Bad Schandau/Krippen at the Hotel Grundmuhle.

SATURDAY JUNE 7: (B-L-D) Visit the street car line with charter (old street car from 1928) In the afternoon by steamer on the river Elbe from Bad Schandau to Dresden through the Unesco world natur monument of Elbe valley. We will have a historical streetcar tour through Dresden . Visit the funicular Railway and suspension railway and early iron bridge. In the afternoon we visit the former depot Dresden-Altstadt. This was the
last depot for steam express locomotives, the high speed Pacifics of the
class 01. We then go by bus to Dobeln where a horse streetcar is being
operated again. In the late afternoon we will board a steam special being
pulled by a class 52.80 from Waldheim -Dobelner-Nossen-Dresden. This
special excursion will make a special stop to pick up our group at the
Radeberg station. At the end of the day we return by bus to Dresden and
check-in at the Hotel Pappritzer Hof.
SUNDAY JUNE 8: (B-L-D) In the morning we go by bus to Oschatz to board our
steam charter on the narrow gauge line to Mugeln and Glossen. Our train
will run Mugeln to Glossen with plenty of photo run-bys. We then catch a
regular train for the ride Oschatz back to Dresden. In the afternoon we will
board a historical streetcar for a sightseeing tur through Dresden.

MONDAY JUNE 9: (B-L-D) By bus from our hotel to Radebeul. Here we board a
regular train for the ride to Radeburg. We will then use our bus to
lineside several scheduled steam trains.
Then we go by streetcar from Radebeul to the center of Dresden. In the
afternoon we will take a ride on the 314mm gauge Parkeisenbahn line. Late
afternoon you will have the option to explore colorful Dresden on your own
or visit the narrow gauge Freital-Hainsberg to Kippsdorf line. This viist
will include a workshop tour. This line was damaged by recent flooding and
they are repairing the damage now.
TUESDAY JUNE 10: (B-D) Morning bus to Chemnitz. Visit the railroad museum shed at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf. Board our charter narrow gauge steam train doubleheader with two steam locomotives and we will also have our bus available for linesiding between Cranzahl and Oberwiesenthal. Overnight in Oberwiesenthal.
WEDNESDAY JUNE 11: (B-L) Morning bus to Steinbach where we board our charter doubleheader with two Ivk to Jöhstadt, Linesiding by bus. By bus to Oberrittersgrun to visit the narrow gauge railroad museum. Again by bus to Schwarzenberg to visit the standard guage railroad museum and overnight lodging overnight lodging at the Hotel Neustadter Hof.

THURSDAY JUNE 12: (B-L) In the morning we visit the railroad museum in
Schwarzenberg. Next we visit one of the most impressive railroad bridges in
Europe, the Goltzschtal Viaduct. This is the biggest brick bridge in the
world. In the afternoon we board our charter steam train pulled by a class
35 from Reichenbach to Greiz. Our charter train will poss over the two big
bridges . As of mid April we do not have a 100% confirmation on this train
yet because of new work starting soon converting this line to
electrification. Overnight lodging in Greiz at the Schlossberg Hotel
FRIDAY JUNE 13: (B-L) Morning bus to Klostermannsfeld. Visit the private railroad repair shop of Malowa. We then ride our charter steam train on the 750mm narrow gauge Industrial railway. We then travel by railcar to Vatterode where we visit the Vatterode Park Railway on 600mm guage. At the end of the day we travel by bus to Quedlinburg to visit the UNECSO world culture monument and this historic German town. Check-in at the Hotel Schlossmuhle in Quedlinburg.
SATURDAY JUNE 14: (B-L) We board steam train 8961 at Quadlinburg for the run
to Alexisbad. Then mid day we lineside steam train 8962 to Eisfelder
Talmuhle. Then here we board steam train 8904 in the open observation car
for Drei Annen Hohne. Next we lineside steam train 8939 from Wernigerode to
Drei Annen Hohne. At the end of the day we return to the Schlossberg Hotel
in Quedlinburg.
SUNDAY JUNE 15: (B-L) Morning bus to Wernigerode to visit the railroad workshops of the HSB. We then ride our charter train with an open coach on the famous Brocken Line. We then board the train to Berlin on the HEX-line departing at 5:32pm and arrive at Berlin Ostbahnhof at 8:37pm. Check-in at the 4 star Hotel Mondial.
MONDAY JUNE 16: (B) Hotel check-out and end of tour.
