We will have five private rail cars coupled onto Amtrak's northbound "Coast Starlight" departing Oakland, California at 9:47PM on July 2 for the 916 mile journey to Seattle, Washington. Arrival in Seattle is at 8:30PM. Those folks that will attend the National Model Railroad 2004 Convention can register on July 4. The NMRA Convention runs July 4-11, 2004 in Seattle. Our excursion is scheduled with the following five private rail cars.

We are offering both sleeping and coach class for this journey. All three dome cars will be available to all passenger for the entire journey and dome seats will not be sold. The return trip to California departs Seattle with these private rail cars coupled to Amtrak's southbound "Coast Starlight" departing at 10:00AM on July 7 or July 11 and arriving Oakland 8:35AM on July 8 or July 12 depending upon your option. Rail fare includes all meals, drinks and snacks. Both roundtrip and oneway tickets are being sold. Passengers may board or detrain at any Amtrak station where the "Coast Starlight" makes a regular stop.
This special excursion from Northern California to Washington is scheduled in conjunction with the NMRA 2004 Convention. We fully support the NMRA and we are members too. Trains Unlimited, Tours has been working very closely with the Convention Excursion Committee to make assure that Trains Unlimited, Tours and the National Model Railroad events all blend together to make a wonderful and enjoyable convention for those who attend. Also a special surprise is in store for you. On our northbound journey out of Oakland on July 2 there will be a full moon to enjoy from the dome cars.
